In the year 2005, the company undertook the complete maintenance and overhaul of the Joshimath-Auli Ropeway system, which is the highest ropeway in India and an important transportation mode for tourists and locals alike. Despite being allotted 45 days for the project, Dev Bhumi Ropeways completed it within a remarkable timeframe of 30 days, highlighting their expertise and efficiency.

The scope of work for the project included a thorough inspection of all components of the ropeway system, replacement of any worn-out or damaged parts, and ensuring the safety features of the ropeway were up to standard. Dev Bhumi Ropeways’ team of experienced professionals handled all materials with great care and efficiency, ensuring that the equipment arrived at the site on time and in perfect condition. The overhaul of the ropeway was completed with utmost care and precision, ensuring that it met all safety regulations and could operate smoothly for years to come.

The Joshimath-Auli Ropeway system is a marvel of engineering, spanning a slope distance of 3.96 km and a track distance of 4.15 km, with two cable cars and ten towers. It offers stunning views of the surrounding natural beauty, including snow-capped mountains and lush green valleys. The lower station at Joshimath is situated at a height of 19068 meters above mean sea level (MSL), while the upper station at Auli stands tall at a height of 30160 meters above MSL. The travel time from one end to the other is approximately 25 minutes, with a maximum capacity of 25 passengers standing per cable car. The ropeway operates at a speed of 1 meter per second. Both Joshimath and Auli are popular tourist destinations in the Uttarakhand region, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and spiritual significance. Joshimath is a quaint town situated at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers and is a popular starting point for the famous Char Dham Yatra pilgrimage. Auli, on the other hand, is a picturesque hill station known for its snow-capped mountains and skiing slopes. The Joshimath-Auli Ropeway system is a crucial mode of transportation for tourists visiting these places, providing an unforgettable experience of the natural beauty of the region.
